Back to the French Broad and Little Pigeon River on this day that started out cloudy and spitting rain. TVA was not generating like they have been, but it was still at 13K cfs when I hit the river, so I decided to once again fish the Little Pigeon. The water in the Little Pigeon had a pretty good stain to it so I decided to fish with something that had a fairly large profile. I opted for an eighth ounce stand up jig anchored with a four inch long plastic crawfish. If you were planning to catch some nice drum (which I wasn’t) this combination was the ticket. I caught seven drum weighing up to eight pounds and three smallies that were between sixteen to eighteen inches in four hours of fishing.
