Starting at the beginning of May and running thru the end of October 2023 I will be guiding full time for river smallies in Wisconsin. The rivers you will fish include the Chippewa, Flambeau, and Jump near Lake Holcombe in Rusk County. The “cold front conditions” were still dogging us today but we were able to find fish in some submerged wood in four foot of water. That piece of wood was holding both walleyes and smallies. Dick and Mary caught a few legal walleyes to take back to Iowa as table fare. They both caught several nice smallies as well as an impressive double. A picture of the happy couple with that double is included in this report.
