I had the pleasure of guiding Tommy and Janet from Alabama today. Unfortunately, we had to battle the dreaded cold front conditions on this trip. The high temperature had dropped from the low 70’s on my scouting trip a couple of days ago to the high 50’s. The Little Pigeon was still at 55 degrees and was slightly stained. They fished hard on their five hour trip. This husband and wife fishing duo managed to scratch out eight smallies and one largemouth. Tommy caught the largest smallie that was just a quarter inch shy of that twenty inch mark to qualify as a “Citation” fish here in the state of Tennessee.
