I had another great day on the Little Pigeon River as the pre-spawn run of those French Broad River smallmouth continues. Like yesterday, I caught the majority of my fish in the middle section of the river which has been an indication to me that the these fish are on the move as they head upstream to their spawning grounds. Today, the majority of the thirty-six fish I caught were between fourteen and sixteen inches compared to the sixteen to eighteen inch fish I caught yesterday. Two of those fish were longer than twenty inches. The biggest fish of the day which is included in this report was 21 3/4 in. long and weighed 4 lb. 8 oz.
