The great pre-spawn smallmouth bite on the Little Pigeon River continues. Just like the prior two days the majority of the fish I have been catching have been in the middle of the river. I have also been fishing some of the shoals in the French Broad River and I have been finally seeing some fish showing up in those locations for the first time this year. I caught a total of 27 smallies today with two fish over twenty inches.
