It was a famiy affair today as Paul, his wife, and their young daughter joined me for a few hours of fishing on the French Broad River. Within eyesight of their home we were on the smallmouth right out of the gate. Everyone caught fish and within a couple of hours they had over twenty smallmouth in the boat. Paul also caught a couple of hard fighting channel catfish that weighed around six pounds a piece. Pictured above is Paul’s biggest smallie of the trip. It measured 20 3/4 in.
