A tough day on the water with Jason and his sixteen year old son Tyler from Michigan. We had classic “cold front conditions”. A rising barometer, clear skies, and a persistent northwest wind shut down the bite. Not to mention the water temperature on the Little Pigeon River dropped over ten degrees in the past couple of days. That is the typical roller coaster ride we experience ¬†with the weather in East Tennessee during this time of year. Despite these challenges Jason and Tyler fished hard on their six hour trip and managed to scratch out nine smallies. A picture of Tyler with a scrappy French Broad River smallie is included in this report.
