The weather did a complete turn around today from less than favorable “cold front conditions” yesterday to cloudy skies and warmer weather. The smallie bite improved as well for Crystal, her husband David and their eleven year old son Clayton. Everyone got in on the action as the smallies continued their pre-spawn migration up the Little Pigeon River. Most of the 22 smallies they caught today were right in the middle of the river. The sizes were much improved over yesterday’s trip with several fish in the 18-20 inch range. Crystal caught the big fish of the day with a hefty Citation Smallmouth that was measured at an even 20″ and weighed 4 lbs. 3 oz. A picture of Crystal with that trophy which was safely released back into the Little Pigeon is included in this report.
