I had the opportunity to guide the father and son team of Chris and Chuck. They were in the Gatlinburg area on vacation from Kansas. They didn’t care if they caught smallies. A few relaxing hours on the water and a tug on the line every now and then was all that was required. The outflow at Douglas Dam was 22,000 cfs so fishing the French Broad was off the table. The Little Pigeon was stained and rising due to recent rains but it was fishable. By the end of the trip they had caught a few smallies before we had to call it a day and head back to the ramp. A picture of Chris with one of his smallies is included in this report. Chris and Chuck were a couple of great guys to have in the boat. I was happy that they were able to catch a few fish and enjoy their time spent on the Little Pigeon River here in beautiful East Tennessee.
