It’s been a couple of weeks since my last trip to Melton Hill. The striper fishing is continuing to improve. On this trip I drifted live gizzard shad below the dam and caught several nice fish. Most of them weighed from 12-17 lbs. with the big fish of the day weighing 25 lbs. pictured above. All of the fish were safely released back into the cool sixty-seven degree water of the Clinch River.
