I had the good fortune of meeting Tim, a fellow smallmouth fly fisherman in August on the Flambeau River. He was fishing out of a kayak and I was in my Stealthcraft Powerdrifter Sled, but we decided from across the river that we would try to put a trip together when I came back in the fall. We did just that and even though the smallies weren’t cooperating on taking streamers on this sunny day we did manage to catch several nice fish on sucker minnows.
