I spent a couple of weeks in August fishing for smallies on the Chippewa and Flambeau Rivers in Wisconsin with my wife, brother and sister. This is an annual tradition and even though we had to fish with the rivers running high most of the time we did manage to catch and release almost 300 smallies in 12 days of fishing. I plan to return in the fall to take advantage of the outstanding fishing that can occur during that time of the year. This is when the smallies start their feeding binge in preparation for winter. I plan to do some guiding while I am there so feel to contact me at (865) 202-6111 if you are interested in what can be some of the best fishing of the year.
