Weird weather day. Cold air from Canada had invaded the area chilling things in to the 50’s for daytime highs. It would rain for a few minutes, clear up with cobalt blue skies, cloud up, rain again for a few minutes, followed by clearing skies. We were stuck in this weather pattern for several days. Both rivers were still high but we did manage to catch seventeen smallies. If the water levels were at normal levels we would ordinarily catch at least fifty smallies a day. No worries even if the fishing is slow. This area truly is “God’s Country” when it comes to enjoying all that that the outdoors has to offer in this part of the state. The fall colors are supposed to peak next week so we are enjoying watching the gradual color changes from day to day. Cindy caught the big fish of the day that was 19 ¼ in. long and weighed 3 lbs. and 10 oz. The picture of her proudly displaying her fish is included in this report.
